What this policy covers
This policy explains what happens to information you send to Chimney Sweep CT through this website. It covers this website only. It does not cover anything a service provider does with your information after they take on your job — they are responsible for their own handling of it.
What we collect
We collect only what you type into the estimate form, and one technical detail alongside it:
- Your name and phone number, which the form requires.
- Your email address, which is optional.
- Your ZIP code, so we know which area you are in.
- The service you selected and anything you write in the message box.
- Which page of this site you submitted the form from, so we know what you were reading.
The form also carries two anti-spam signals: a hidden field that people never see and bots often fill in, and how long the form was open before it was submitted. Neither identifies you.
We do not ask for payment details, and this website has no facility to take them. Never send card details, bank details or a password through the form.
What we do with it, and who receives it
This website accepts requests for chimney and fireplace services. Information you submit through the form may be shared with a service professional as needed to respond to your request and arrange the work.
What you send is shared with a service professional — a chimney contractor — so they can contact you about your request and arrange the work.
A service provider who receives your request may contact you by phone, text or email about it. Once they take on your job, what they do with your information is governed by their own practices, not this policy.
Form submissions are delivered through Web3Forms, a third-party form-delivery service, which passes them to us by email. It receives everything you type into the form. How long Web3Forms itself retains a submission is governed by that provider's own service and data practices rather than by us.
We do not publish, post or make your details public, and we do not pass them to advertisers or data brokers. We are describing what we actually do with your information rather than putting a legal label on it — if you want to know whether a particular transfer counts as a "sale" under your state's privacy law, ask us and we will tell you what we know.
Cookies and tracking
This website does not set advertising or analytics cookies, and it does not use third-party trackers. If that changes, this section will be updated before the change goes live, and you will be asked for consent where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep what you send for as long as it takes to handle your request and for a reasonable period afterwards, in case you get back in touch about the same job. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
A copy may also sit with the form service that carried your submission and with the service provider who took on your job, each for their own retention period. Asking us to delete your details does not by itself erase a provider's own records of a job they did.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Depending on where you live you may have further rights under your state's privacy law, including in Connecticut. We will honor a request regardless of whether a particular law requires us to, and if we cannot do what you asked we will tell you why.

Children
This website is for arranging home services and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Material changes — particularly any change to who receives your information — will be made before the practice they describe begins, not after.
