These terms apply to your use of the Chimney Sweep CT website. By using the site or submitting the estimate form, you agree to them. If you do not, please do not use the site.

This website describes chimney, fireplace and dryer vent services available in Connecticut, and lets you request an estimate. Chimney Sweep CT operates this website; requests submitted through it are used to arrange chimney and fireplace work with a service professional who can carry it out.

Submitting the form starts a conversation. It is not a booking, it does not reserve an appointment, and it does not create a contract for work.

When you submit a request, the details you give us — including your name, phone number, email address if you provide one, ZIP code and what you say about the problem — may be passed to a service provider so they can respond. They may contact you by phone, text or email about it. What they do with your information after that is governed by their own practices. The privacy policy on this site explains this in more detail.

A contract for work is formed between you and the service provider who takes on your job, on the terms you agree with them directly. Chimney Sweep CT is not a party to that contract, does not carry out the work, and does not supervise it.

Pricing is set by the service provider handling your request, after they have looked at the job. Nothing on this site is a price, a quote, a range, an estimate of cost or an offer.

Where we offer a free estimate, what is free is the assessment and the figure you are given for the work — not the work itself. You are under no obligation to accept it.

The explanations here are general. Chimneys differ, and the same symptom can come from several different faults, so nothing on this site is a diagnosis of your chimney and nothing is a substitute for someone looking at it.

Nothing here is a safety certification, a code-compliance statement or a structural assessment.

Safety, plainly: if you smell gas, leave the building and call your gas utility or 911 from outside. If you have an active chimney fire, call 911. Do not wait for a callback from anyone, including us.

• Not to scrape, copy or republish the content of this site without permission.

We do not promise that this website is available without interruption or free of errors. We may change, suspend or remove any part of it, including the pages describing particular services or areas.

Where this site says service is available same-day, in an emergency or around the clock, that describes when you can reach us and when work can be arranged. It is not a promise about anything else.

In particular, nothing on this site guarantees how quickly we will call you back, what time anyone will arrive, or that any job will be finished on the day it starts. What is actually possible depends on the job, the weather, access, parts and who is free — and it is agreed with the service provider handling your request, not here.

If you have an emergency, say so when you get in touch. If there is a fire or you smell gas, call 911 or your gas utility rather than waiting for us.

Where this site links elsewhere, we do not control that site and are not responsible for its content or its handling of your information.

Photographs on this site remain the property of their respective owners. If you believe an image here is used without the right permission, tell us and we will take it down while we check.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on the general information on this website. Nothing in these terms limits liability for anything that cannot lawfully be limited, including death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

Liability for work actually carried out is a matter between you and the service provider who carried it out, under the agreement you have with them.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, and the courts of Connecticut have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

We may update these terms. The date at the top of the page shows when they last changed, and the version published here is the one that applies.
